Collecting Marine Life and Seaweeds at the Beach

Are you passionate about your community and the local marine life living right outside your door? Would you like to get an up-close and personal, behind the scenes interaction with the sea-life?
We are welcoming volunteers in the aquarium and lab to help:
  • Connect with visitors and show them our displays
  • Assist with daily operations, including reception and animal care
  • Coordinate and/or partake in special events
  • As Technical support managing water flow and pipe clearing
  • With General aquarium maintenance
  • Assist educators for programs in the lab
  • In July and August summer camps
  • Maintain lab tanks during the winter months
Our volunteers are valued members of our team, and will be provided the appropriate orientation, training, and supervision they need to succeed! If you are twelve years of age, or older, and are interested in volunteering, contact us at for more details or visit the Volunteer Campbell River website to view opportunities.
