We are very happy to see and hear that you are all enjoying our online video series and social media content.
As you can imagine, we are not alone in our mission to spread ocean literacy remotely! We would like to share with you a list of resources that other local organizations are creating to help you stay busy.
Ocean Networks Canada
Ocean Networks Canada is an initiative of the University of Victoria based in Victoria B.C. They have been creating online content for K-12 students long before recent events! They are also the organization behind the Community Observatory monitoring ocean conditions just beneath the Discovery Pier!
Vancouver Aquarium Online Learning
The Vancouver Aquarium is continuing to offer their online courses in ocean literacy, as well as plastic education and virtual field trips
The Ucluelet Aquarium is engaging locals through content on their social media channels:
Salish Sea Centre
Just like the other aquariums on the island, the Salish Sea Center in Sidney, B.C. is keeping their education going through online content
Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute
MBARI is offering online educational resources that are equally as exciting to those just surfing the web!
Nautilus live always has footage of deep sea excursions on their web pages.
