2026 Summer Camp Schedule!
This year, we are excited to offer 10 weeks of day camps for school aged kids to learn about marine science through hands-on activities, interactive experiments, and a whole lot of fun! Each week of camp will run from 9am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with the exception of stat holidays. We have two different camp offerings:
- Junior Explorers (K-Grade 2)
- Senior Explorers (Grades 3-6)
Ages are based on the students grade from the 2025-26 school year. If you wish to register your child slightly outside of the range, please contact us.

July 2 - July 3: Junior Explorers — Animal Explorers!
$100
Dive into some of Vancouver Island's most iconic creatures! From plankton to whales, this week will see your kids coming home as ocean animal experts.
This shortened week features the best parts of all the other weeks including beach treasure hunts, visiting the aquarium and Centennial Pool! The price is reduced to reflect the 2 day week.
July 6 - July 10: Senior Explorers — Animal Explorers
$250
During this camp, our Senior Explorers will have the opportunity to learn about Vancouver Islands most iconic sea animals! Through various hands-on experiments, crafts, outdoor exploration and scientific tools, we will spend the week learning more about our local marine biodiversity. Each day of camp focusing on one of the following animals: plankton, intertidal animals, salmon, sharks, and marine mammals.
Highlights from this camp will include an aquarium visit, low-tide exploration at the Willow Point Reef and a trip to the Centennial Pool!
July 13 - July 17: Junior Explorers — Journey to the Bottom of the Sea
$250
This week at camp, we will be exploring ocean habitats from the sunlit waters of the intertidal zone all the way to the deep dark abyss and the strange creatures that dwell there. Each day, we will take our imagination submarine deeper and learn about amazing life that lives in each ocean zone.
Highlights from this camp will include an aquarium visit, low-tide exploration at the Willow Point Reef and a trip to the Splash Park!

August 17 - August 21: Senior Explorers — Whale Watching and Animal Explorers
$325
We are partnering with Campbell River Whale Watching, and offering a 3-hour whale watching tour on a zodiac boat this week!
During this camp, our Senior Explorers will have the opportunity to learn about Vancouver Islands most iconic sea animals! Through science experiments, crafts, and outdoor exploration, we will spend the week learning more about our local marine biodiversity. Each day of camp focusing on one of the following animals: plankton, intertidal animals, salmon, sharks, and marine mammals.
Highlights from this camp will include the whale watching tour, an aquarium visit, low-tide exploration at the Willow Point Reef and a trip to Centennial Pool!
Note: There will be the option for a limited number of parent chaperones on the Whale Watching Tours ($75.00 fee). If you are interested in purchasing a chaperone spot, please indicate on the registration form and we will randomly select the spots from the pool of those interested.
