Our first winter school program was a blast! We learned why seaweed is an important part of marine ecosystems and got our hands dirty sorting and identifying different local seaweeds. There sure are a lot of different kinds!
During the second half of the program, we explored marine food webs and the strategies animals use to obtain food. Students observed different animals and formulated hypotheses about what they eat. We tested these hypotheses by offering animals certain food and observing interactions between various species.
We are continuing to offer school programs through the winter. If you are interested in booking, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
